Peter has comfortably made the very low cut at the Justin Timberlakes Shriners Hospitals for Chidren Open in Las Vegas, his second round of 69 moving him to 9 under and into a share of 36th position.

An opening round of 66 was encouraging but on a golf course where low scoring was the order of the day, there was no room for error. An eagle at his final hole on day one, after a magnificent second from 257 yards to 10 feet, provided the highlight of the event to date.  

A double bogey at his 5th hole today caught Peter's attention as at that point he had dropped outside the possible cut line of 6 under. Peter missed the green at that hole and then three putted from 20 feet but he responded with five birdies in his next 11 holes. A bogey at the 17th after finding the greenside bunker was frustrating but he continues to persevere with the short putter and it is working reasonably well.
