Peter has finished in 14th place at the MFS Australian Open after being unable to build any real forward momentum on the final day of the event . An early birdie at the second was followed by a bogey at the third but when he birdied the two par fives, the 7th and 14th, he had moved to 2 under and the prospect of a very high finish was still on the cards.

A bogey at the 15th was followed by a soft bogey at the 16th and in the end he was back where he started the day after his round of 72.

Peter now heads for Huntingdale in Melbourne for the MasterCard Masters, an event he has won twice previously.
