Peter has moved within two shots of the leaders after the second round of the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico, a birdie at the last completing a round of 68 to go with his opening round of five under 65.

Two quick birdies early in his round had Peter right on the heels of the leaders and despite a bogey at the 10th he was able to finish off his round in style and finds himself in 7th place, behind the three leaders Fred Funk, Cameron Beckman and Boo Weekly.

Peter played in the slightly more challenging afternoon conditions but appears to be enjoying the Greg Norman designed layout at the El Camaleon Golf Club at Playa Del Carmen just forty minutes or so south of the region of Cancun on Mexico's Caribbean Coast.
