Two double bogeys late in his round proved costly in his quest for the 36 hole lead but Peter bounced back with birdie at his last hole to at least make up some of the ground his doubles at the 13th and 17th holes had cost him. Peter made the turn in two under par 34 today but a double bogey at his 13th hole, after finding the rough left and missing the green right and then three putting set him back. He got one back when he holed a 20 footer for birde at the 15th but bogeyed the 16th after a poor drive then doubled the 17th after his tee shot to the long par three came up well short and he was short again from there. A nice pitch at the last set up a 7 foot birdie putt and he finished at three under which at one stage during the day had him sharing the lead having earlier led when he reached the 10th tee. Peter continues to drive the ball very well and is putting well. He plays in the next to last group on day three with Sean O'Hair.

It was a roller coaster ride but when all was said and done Peter finds himself in a share of third place at the Players Championship and just two behind the halfway leader, Phil Mickelson.
