Peter has moved within two shots of Vijay Singh's lead at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, his fast finish to his second round 66 including three birdies in his last four holes. Peter trails only Singh and Phil Mickelson as the tournament heads into the third round.

"It was good today," said Peter shortly after his round. "I played terribly yesterday and got it up and down from all over the place and was really happy with the score I ground out. That is something I have not been doing for a long time."

"Today I hit it really well and gave myself plenty of birdie opportunities. Obviously I holed a few putts as well which was nice. The course is playing really long, far different from last year but the rough isn't quite so thick. I'm looking forward to the weekend."

Peter's putting has been very good so far this week and the work he did on his irons during his break last week has clearly paid off. Peter will play in the second to last group on day three with Sean O'Hair.
