A second round of 74 at the Victorian Open at Spring Valley Golf Club in Melbourne has seen Peter slip well of the pace.

After his opening round of 70 on Thursday Peter played in the afternoon group on day two and after dropping two shots in his first three holes he fought his way back with birdies at the downhill par three 10th and the reachable par five 12th. 

"I thought when I birdied the 12th to get back to even par for the tournament that if I could pick up a couple more coming in then I would be in good shape as the course was tricky this afternoon.  Instead I went the other way. I came up short at the 16th and was unable to get up and down then drove it in the bunker at the 17th which was a genuine birdie chance.

"I then three putted the last so it was a disappointing and frustrating day that's for sure.

"We all play early tomorrow so hopefully I can get something going and work my way back into it but clearly Mike Hendry is seemingly playing another golf course at present."
