An opening round of two under par 70 has Peter well positioned at the PGA Championship at Medinah Country Club just west of Chicago. In perfect conditions, Peter birdied the par four 4th hole and two of the four par fives. His only bogey came at the 7th but overall he has made a good start to the tournament. 

The lead into the afternoon of day one is held by Lucas Glover after his round of 66 has him one ahead of Billy Andrade.

Peter has a 1.25 tee time in round two.
