After several good signs early in the week at the Shell Houston Open Peter has battled on day four and has finished with a final round of 78 for 52nd position. After returning to complete his third round early on Sunday Peter finished with a round of 68 before heading back out again. An early birdie at his first hole of round three had him at 7 under for the tournament and at that stage not all that far from contention. A triple bogey at his 9th hole (the dangerous par four 18th) after pulling his te shot into the water saw him turn in 38 and things would go from bad to worse over the closing 9 holes with yet another triple bogey at the 6th after a wild drive there. Peter actually had a good week with his iron play finishing in second position in greens hit but his putting was a bit of a mess especially on day four although the windy conditions did not make things easy on the greens. Peter will take this week off as the Masters is played and then return for the Verizon Heritage event starting on April 16th at Hilton Head. Peter won the Verizon in 2005.
